The Positive Displacement Lobe Pump is the preferred choice for transferring viscous, shear-sensitive, or particulate-laden products where a centrifugal pump would cause product damage or inconsistent flow. Counter-rotating lobes trap and displace a fixed volume of product per revolution, delivering a smooth, pulsation-minimised flow that is directly proportional to pump speed.
All product-contact surfaces are manufactured from SS 316L with a Ra ≤ 0.8 µm finish. The front-loading lobe and seal design allows complete disassembly for inspection and cleaning without removing the pump from the pipeline — a critical advantage in high-hygiene environments. The pump is fully CIP and SIP compatible, with mechanical seals rated for cleaning temperatures up to 140°C.
Available with a variable-frequency drive for precise flow control, the lobe pump integrates seamlessly into automated process lines. A wide range of lobe profiles — including bi-wing, tri-lobe, and circumferential piston — allows the pump to be optimised for your specific product viscosity and particle size.
